Botox works by relaxing your muscles and decreasing wrinkles and pain. At Rifkin Dental, we practice minimally invasive dentistry as well as minimally invasive Botox. We use the least amount of Botox in order to give you the best results possible. We schedule a follow up visit two weeks after the procedure to observe how your body responds to the treatment, and we can administer more if your body requires it.
Botox is available for cosmetic treatment on the forehead, crows feet and glabellar region (aka “11s” or “angry face”). We also use Botox to decrease strain on the muscles that cause clenching and grinding that can lead to pain in the jaw and headaches. By relaxing these muscles, there should be a significant reduction in pain.
